We were looking for wildflowers and hoping to travel new ground to Tibooburra, over the border in New South Wales. From Quilpie we headed south and on the way to Thargomindah, we stopped for a steak sandwich at the pub without a town called Toompine, population two and one was away fencing! It was a popular place to eat. While we were there three road trains stopped, their drivers looking for lunch. From Toompine to Thargomindah we saw the most beautiful wildflowers. It was a stop start, stop start afternoon on the road.
