Fingers Crossed Across Australia, A Grey Nomad Adventure

Fingers Crossed Across Australia

I’m looking forward to sharing lots of our travel adventures with you.  At the moment I’m putting finishing touches to my book about traveling in Australia over the last few years.
Fingers Crossed across Australia is a warts and all account of eight years of travel by a couple of grey nomads.  As a result of my breast cancer and facing an uncertain future, my husband, Mike and I retired early and became intrepid travelers, exploring many parts of our beautiful country.  Although things went right for us most of the time, we did have some setbacks that made life more interesting.
We walked through the most spectacular gorges; snorkeled the magnificent Ningaloo Reef; traversed the Gunbarrel Highway, Strzelecki and Birdsville Tracks and the Gibb River Road, we even took on the old Telegraph Track in Cape York; toured Kangaroo Island; went fossicking for gems; became avid bird watchers and went fishing for everything from cherabin (freshwater prawns), barramundi, mangrove jack to long tailed tuna.  We took a magnificent boat ride through the Buccaneer Archipelago and experienced the amazing Horizontal Waterfall. While we did follow the tar sometimes, we often went bush and found some breathtaking views; the most peaceful and relaxing environments and watched glorious sunrises and sunsets that lit up the sky.  After eight wonderful years of living and loving life I want to share our travels in the hope it will motivate and inspire others to go out there and have a look.  I promise you won’t be disappointed. Stay tuned..
I took many many photos and could not put them all in the book.
